Area Technical Swimming Committee Coordinator routines

Key duties

  • Recruitment, training, mentoring & accreditation of officials
  • Rostering officials for Area meets
  • Routine administration including re-accreditations

Routine administration includes:

  • “Can you help me find a Referee or Starter for my meet on…?”
  • “My accreditations are wrong on MyLane, please fix”
  • “Where is my badge?”

Annual Routine

Note I started the role in July, and am writing this as I go.

July-September

  • Set schedule of TO training for the next 12 months
  • Held ATSC sub-committee meeting
  • Arranged TOs for SMNE Distance Meet 13 September
  • Arranged TOs for SMNE 13/U Meet 25 October
  • Arranged TOs for SMNE Summer Championships 7/8 November

October – December

  • Finalised rosters for the meets, including assessments
  • Ran the meets
  • Post mortum
  • Ensured all assessment paperwork was sent to SNSW (we scan and use dropbox)

January – March

  • Arrange TOs for Speedo Sprint

April – June

  • Arrange TOs for Winter Champs
  • Work out best use of Area Training days (for swimmers) when parents will be present
